The eight thatched chalets at Kambaku Safari Lodge accommodate just sixteen guests and offer a variety of options ranging from the honeymoon suite, family suites to double and twin rooms, depending on specific requirements. Enjoy the waterhole from the pool deck or upper deck, or simply from your own private veranda. Each chalet is individually decorated and is equipped with an overhead fan, beautiful four-poster beds, en-suite bathrooms both shower and bath.
The main lodge has a balance between open plan and private space, with a spacious bar and lounge area leading to the mezzanine floor where one can take time out reading – there is a small library available – or just simply dream away in tranquil surroundings. From the upper deck, one can enjoy board games, card games or a game of pool, whilst keeping a watchful eye on the waterhole.
Leisurely brunches are served on the veranda or around the pool, and guests are often entertained by the resident warthog family on the lawn. A great place to while away the heat of the day, is on the sundeck with a cocktail in hand, or enjoy a cooling dip in the pool. Dinners are a truly African affair, lighted by the milky way, a large bonfire, and lanterns in the Boma. The lodge also has a Wi-Fi area and mobile phone coverage for those who need to keep in touch with the outside world.
Enjoy the huge diversity of game and birdlife either from open 4x4 safari vehicles or on foot; keep a look out for the famous white lions, endangered African wild dogs, big 5, hippo, and hyena to name just a few. Timbavati is home not only to the Big 5 but also to the famous White Lions of the Timbavati, which cannot be seen anywhere else in the wild. Kambaku is most privileged to be able to afford their guests the best opportunity of viewing the magnificent creatures with both properties falling within the white lion prides territory.
