The only noise pollution being that of their children’s laughter bouncing off the granite rocks. The Steads would now like to share their idyllic lifestyle with you and your family by opening The Home-Stead for exclusive use.
Download Fact SheetThe Amalinda Homestead is situated on the Amalinda Concession surrounded by the iconic granite domes and castle kopjes of the Matobo Hills. Spacious and comfortably furnished, The Amalinda Homestead is completely equipped for your family’s every need. The Home-Stead features a Master bedroom with en suite bathroom and private deck, two double bedrooms each with an outside deck share a separate bathroom with shower, basin, and toilet.
The Home-Stead features an open plan dining room and sunken lounge, beautifully lit with glass chandeliers and encompassed with an outside wooden deck. Ample parking under sprawling shady trees for self-drive guests.
Access to and full use of the Amalinda pool, Private Guide and Game Drive Vehicle, Host/Hostess, Private Chef or meals at the Main Lodge at an additional cost (please note pre-booking is required).
You will be lead by a Private, knowledgeable and professional guide through this enchanting area during your stay at the Homestead. The choice of activities include: Game drives into the Matopos National Park, tracking both black and white rhino on foot or by vehicle, explore world renowned caves and bushman paintings, take a historic trek to Rhodes’ grave and “View of the World”, enjoy sunset hikes to the tops of granite dwalas, and you are welcome to take a tour of an African homestead where you'll have the chance to meet the local Matabele people and visit a clinic, traditional healer and local primary school.
Walking on Amalinda's property is entirely safe – you could bump into warthog, zebra, klipspringer, kudu, impala, wildebeest, reedbuck, duiker, steenbok, hyrax and a vast variety of bird life. Watch out for the elusive leopard, although he’ll see you first….
