Namibia’s Eastern Zambezi Region is a lush, water-rich contrast to the country’s more arid landscapes. Along the Chobe River, wetlands, floodplains and riverine forests create an exceptionally productive wildlife habitat, with elephants, hippos, crocodiles, antelope and prolific birdlife drawn to the water throughout the year. From the Namibian side of the river, guests look directly across to the floodplains and wildlife of Botswana’s Chobe National Park.

For advisors, this is a particularly appealing way to experience the Chobe ecosystem from a quieter and more secluded perspective. The experience is strongly centered around the river, with boat safaris, slower-paced cruises, fishing, birding and cultural excursions rather than traditional vehicle-based game drives. It works especially well for clients who have already experienced classic land-based safari areas and want something more tranquil, water-focused and distinctive while still benefiting from Chobe’s exceptional wildlife.
