Camp Moremi in Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana

Camp Moremi boasts twelve expansive, modern styled thatched safari tents, including one family room, and accommodates a maximum of twenty-four guests. The family room which includes two separate bedrooms and bathrooms connects through interleading doors. All standard tents are expansive with spacious bathrooms consisting of double vanities and showers, and private decks offering views over the Moremi Game Reserve. Subtle décor and lighting fixtures allow for a natural and warm atmosphere within each room to create a peaceful and harmonious blend with the surrounding environment.
Camp Moremi’s communal areas include a sunken bar, masterfully built around a large termite mound and ebony tree, an expansive lounge area with a beautiful brass and soft finishes, leading towards an extended library and private deck. These areas, including the elevated dining area, connects by boardwalk to the fireplace in front of the camp. In addition, an open-air boma and secluded swimming pool complement the public area facilities.
Guest activities include morning and afternoon game drives throughout the many different ecosystems that the Moremi Game Reserve has to offer. Explore the Xakanaxa Lagoon and its surrounding channels by boat for a chance to enjoy the picturesque waters of the Okavango Delta, with its kaleidoscope of birdlife.

Experienced guides will introduce you to a whole new world of wildlife; watch a Leopard stretched out lazily in the branches of a Mopane tree, herds of Elephant grazing under a canopy of green or a pride of Lions camouflaged in the long grass. Moremi Game Reserve’s incredible wetlands support a vast number of antelope, including Impala, Kudu and Waterbuck. The majestic Fish Eagle and vivid Malachite Kingfisher are frequently seen and even the rare Pel’s Fishing Owl makes an occasional appearance, to the delight of guides and guests alike.

Access: Air- Xakanaxa private airstrip is served by Safari Air charter aircraft from Maun and Kasane airports. Road- 87 miles from Maun on sandy roads suitable for 4WD vehicles only, approx. 4 hour drive.
Accommodation: Twelve luxury safari tents on raised platforms consisting of: 11 x twin bedded tents (triple possible for adults and child sharing only) and 1 x Family Room with two en-suite bedrooms, the second bedroom can accommodate a third child on a roll out bed.
Activities: Guided game drives in open 4x4 vehicles and boating safaris in the Okavango Delta.
Children: Children over the age of 6 years are welcome. Families with children aged 6-11 will be required to book private activities at an additional cost.
