Malawi is a landlocked country, running down the end of the Great Rift Valley. Dominated by
Lake Malawi, the third largest lake in Africa, the surrounding country is exceptionally beautiful
with dramatic scenery that includes rocky outcrops, high mountains, plateaus and views across
what is considered to be Africa’s most beautiful lake. Malawi is known as the “Warm Heart of
Africa” and as a people the Malawians live up to this name. They are extremely friendly and
welcoming. There are many market scenes, road side stalls, cottage industries that a visitor can
comfortably visit. With both the scenery and the culture Malawi is a great country to drive in.

Itinerary
- Huntingdon House, Thyolo region (2 nights);

- HUNTINGDON HOUSE:
  - Guests are accommodated in 5 unique suites with superb bathrooms featuring clawed bath tubs, separate showers, bath robes, wonderful bamboo cotton blend towels and rounded off with a range of guest amenities. Each room has been individually decorated to reflect the quirks and character of this grand residence appropriately named based on their original function in the household.
- MKULUMADZI LODGE:
  - The lodge is situated in Southern Malawi, set on a lush riverbank within Majete Wildlife Reserve. The lodge has eight superb chalets, each with spacious living quarters and private viewing deck. Of the chalets three are double, two are twin, one is a honeymoon chalet and there are two family chalets. Each chalet has en suite bathroom with double basins, bath and shower. The main area has a pool and dining area under the stars.
- KUTHENGO CAMP:
  - Located on a large open plain stretching towards the Shire River in Liwonde National Park, Malawi, you will find Kuthengo Camp nestled among fever trees and baobabs. With resident fish eagles nesting in these Baobabs, you will be woken to ‘África’s voice‘ calling as you rise in this wild and natural paradise. The four spacious and modern safari tents are all en-suite, each with a bathtub and an outdoor shower. Cool off in a plunge pool in the hotter months and enjoy the view from there.
- PUMULANI:
  - Dutch architect G. Hooft Graafland designed each of the ten villas individually adapting them to their own unique location to ensure they blend harmoniously into their different surroundings. The gently curving lines of the very spacious villas reflect the patterns and movements of the lake along with the interior design, which is directly inspired from the surrounding nature. Each villa has a large bedroom, which opens out onto a private deck where early risers can enjoy the morning’s first rays. The bathrooms also offer splendid views and are well equipped with a bathtub, double shower and double sink, and the spacious lounge area offers further comfort for those wishing to relax in the room.
- HUNTINGDON HOUSE:
  - These are two full day to explore the surrounding area; tour of the tea factory, visit
    to the Mount Mulanje Massif (it rises to 2,380m above sea level) or perhaps a short hike to Dziwe la Nkhalamba rock pool and falls. You set your own pace of how you want to spend your days.
- MKULUMADZI:
  - The luxurious lodge is in a stunning location and activities include game-drives, boating safaris, bush walks, hiking Majete Hill, black rhino tracking, cultural tours, birding trips on the Shire River and game-viewing from a hide. Guests are free to be as energetic or as idle as they please although at least one activity per day is encouraged to best enjoy Majete.
- KUTHENGO CAMP:
  - The unspoiled Liwonde National Park promises an ultimate retreat where you can exerience the many activities on offer with complete privacy, from adventurous game drives and walking safaris to tranquilboat cruises along the grand Shire River, there is something for everyone.
- PUMULANI:
  - Our remote beach setting is ideal for those who simply want to soak up the sun and swim in the clear blue waters of the lake. Those who prefer to take a dive in the swimming pool, there is an infinity pool near the central dining area with grand views over the lake, as well as another infinity pool on beach level. For those seeking activity we offer many watersports activities like snorkeling, fishing, sailing, kayaking, waterskiing, wake boarding and fun tube rides (all motorized activities are
    excluded). At the end of the day climb aboard our dhow and let our experienced local crewmen take you sailing into the sunset.We offer special diving courses at the best diving spots near one of the islands. For those who are interested in the real Malawian village life we offer guided walks through one of the local villages.
