Featuring short & direct flights across vast and dramatic landscapes, this itinerary is a visual and visceral feast of Botswana’s highlights.
Dinaka: An exclusive private conservancy hugging the northern edge of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Dinaka is host to one of the most unique bio-diversities in southern Africa. This ever-changing desert landscape gives refuge to the Kalahari lion, springbok, oryx and brown hyena. The annual rains transform the arid desert landscape into a lush profusion of Kalahari vegetation, offering guests a unique insight into the lesser known desert experience. The Sleep Out Deck offers guests a panoramic view and the opportunity to spend the night under the magnificent African night sky.
Okuti: Okuti draws its influence from the Maunachira River, which flows gently in front of the camp, attracting abundant birdlife, thriving fish populations and creating soft, sandy riverbanks that form an oasis of serenity and peacefulness. Resting along this tranquil stretch of water at the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, Okuti is designed to blend seamlessly into its wilderness surroundings, offering a serene retreat in one of Botswana’s most celebrated game‑viewing regions. From this peaceful vantage point, guests enjoy effortless access to Moremi’s rich mosaic of floodplains, forests and open grasslands, making Okuti an ideal base for immersive wildlife encounters and quiet moments of riverfront calm.
Shinde Footsteps: Tucked beneath a canopy of ancient trees on the edge of the Shinde Concession, Shinde Footsteps offers an intimate, back‑to‑nature safari experience without compromising on comfort. The camp features just a handful of beautifully appointed, Meru‑style tents—each with ensuite bush bathrooms, hot bucket showers, and thoughtful touches that make the wilderness feel both welcoming and wonderfully authentic. Canvas walls, natural textures, and open‑air design keep you connected to the sounds and rhythms of the Delta, while attentive hosting and warm, home‑style meals create a sense of effortless ease. It’s the kind of place where luxury is defined not by excess, but by space, silence, and the privilege of feeling completely at home in one of Botswana’s most pristine wild places.
OR
Maxa: Cradled in a quiet corner of the Okavango Delta, Maxa Camp offers a beautifully understated blend of comfort and wilderness immersion. Its spacious, canvas‑and‑timber tents open onto sweeping views of floodplains and woodlands, creating a sense of effortless connection to the landscape. Inside, natural textures, soft linens, and thoughtful detailing bring a gentle elegance to the bush, while ensuite bathrooms and generous verandas ensure you never feel far from comfort. Maxa’s intimate scale and serene setting make it a place where the Delta’s rhythms take over—where mornings begin with birdsong drifting through canvas walls and evenings settle into lantern‑lit calm beneath a canopy of stars.
Dinaka: Situated alongside the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, the focus of activities at Dinaka is exploring the Kalahari experience with wildlife ranging from giraffe to the antelope, small mammals like the honey badger, bat eared fox and porcupine to predators including the Kalahari lion, cheetah, leopard and brown hyena. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles, with afternoon game drives often continuing into the evening. Alternatively, you may get more up close and personal with nature on foot with guided bush walks. Birding is particularly spectacular as Dinaka hosts over 200 different bird species including the Kori Bustard and Crimson Breasted Shrike and a high concentration of Pale Chanting Goshawks. The reserve offers an educational walk with San Bushmen in addition to day and night game drives. Year-round water holes result in spectacular photographic opportunities either from the underground bunker, hide or vehicle.
Okuti: Situated in the heart of the world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve, guests can experience game drives with unhindered views in specially-designed safari vehicles. When out on game drives our window seat guarantee ensures no more than four guests per vehicle and individual use of a camera mount. The Moremi Game Reserve is rich in wildlife, and its consistent year-round game viewing makes it ideal for repeat and first-time visitors to Botswana. Guests can also explore the Okavango Delta waterways by motorboat, and the areas open lagoons and winding channels make it a birder’s paradise, complete with herons and storks in the breeding season.
Shinde Footsteps: Days at Shinde Footsteps unfold at a wonderfully unhurried pace, shaped by activities that bring you close to the Delta’s rhythms. Guided bush walks are the camp’s signature experience, offering a rare chance to explore the wilderness on foot and read the landscape through tracks, sounds, and subtle signs of life. Game drives—both morning and afternoon—reveal the concession’s rich diversity of wildlife, while mokoro excursions (when water levels allow) glide you through quiet channels alive with birdlife and the soft rustle of reeds. Every outing is led by expert guides who share their deep knowledge of the ecosystem, creating encounters that feel personal, immersive, and beautifully connected to place.
