The Luangwa Valley, which marks the end of the Great Rift Valley, is one of the last unspoiled wilderness areas and possibly the finest wildlife sanctuary in Africa. The Luangwa River flows into the Zambezi River – just below the Lower Zambezi National Park. This park, scenically bordered by an impressive escarpment, has excellent game, which can be viewed from either the river or by land. Quietly drifting past a huge elephant feeding is a great experience.

Day 1: Arrive Lusaka and fly to Jeki or Kulefu airstrip for Anabezi
Day 2-4: Three full days to enjoy the mighty Zambezi River
Day 5: Fly from Jeki or Kulefu airstrip via Lusaka to Mfuwe airport for Tena Tena

Anabezi Camp
Anabezi is found at the lower end of the Zambezi National Park, exclusively located offering relaxing and serene isolation. With its unique location, Anabezi offers diverse wildlife sightings. Many yellow corn pods drop from the surrounding Ana Trees attracting a diversity of animals from the higher land to feed during the dry months.
The camp is built on an elevated boardwalk which connects each luxury tented suite to two main areas with their own respective swimming pools. The elevated boardwalk allows for wildlife to roam freely throughout camp while minimizing effects on the ecosystem. It also means guests can walk around safely during the day without an escort. Elephants, buffalo, antelope - and even the occasional lion or leopard - often pass through camp, allowing you to experience wildlife from the comfort of your room.

Each tent features: an indoor ensuite bathroom with Victorian style soaking bathtub, an outdoor bathroom complete with outdoor shower and a viewing deck with a plunge pool overlooking the Zambezi.
Tena Tena
Situated in the exclusive Nsefu Sector, Tena Tena sits nestled under a magnificent and thick grove of mahogany trees. This small and intimate camp lies within the National Park and enjoys a stunning location on a sweeping bend of the Luangwa River. On an a double tiered river bank each room enjoys its own private view onto a long stretch of the river. It is sandwiched between the river and a complex lagoon system under a magnificent mahogany grove and is a magnet for wildlife and you do not need to go far for some incredible sightings.
From the thatched dining room and bar, guests can watch the elephants, hippo and antelope on the riverbank. Tena Tena has 5 tents, each with a dressing room, open air bathroom and private veranda that overlooks a water hole. The camp is run by an experienced team whom are all passionate about their jobs and the level of service that they and the camp provide for their guests.
Anabezi Camp:
Canoeing, boating and fishing with game drives and walking.
(Tiger fishing on a catch and release basis is a must for keen fishermen).
Tena Tena:
Daily morning walk or game drive (or combination)
